As of this morning she's continued to be pretty stable. Most of her vitals are in the safe range and have been holding there for going on 70 hours now. Of course there's always the occasional spike in sugar levels (not surprising considering Tessa's sweet tooth) or the drops in blood pressure but usually those issues are balanced out. We're discovering how finicky the human body can be when it's really sick and it becomes a constant balancing act keeping things regular.
We have not seen the latest X-ray which will hopefully show that her lungs have continued to clear up. She's still on continuous dialysis which is going well and she's still on the oscillator breathing device which the doctors may ween her off of either today or tomorrow which would be yet another step in the right direction.
All in all she's hanging tough today but please keep sending that positive juju...it's working!
much love,
KT and Erik
You guys are on our minds constantly...we were so encouraged to hear that things are improving over the last 48 hours. I know you have a long road ahead...a marathon...but you all have the strength for it, clearly! All of our positive energy is directed straight to Tessa's room at UCSF! Erik, I'll see you tomorrow with dinner and I'll be emailing a few pictures of Tessa from Little Gym recently. That's the Tessa that will be back and better than ever.
ReplyDeleteWe love and miss you guys!
XOXO
Jill
PS Max says he wants to bring Tessa a yellow loppy pop to help her feel better.
Thanks for sharing and keeping the posts on the blog. Thoughts and prayers with you guys!

ReplyDeleteHey guys . . . especially Tessa. Poppa Randy isn't yet Blog-Smart. I tried to log on and thought I had sent a lot of positive thoughts and vibes yesterday, but my comments apparently didn't stick. Oh well, neither would my JPEG picture! Even though I am a communications failure, I am continuously sending much love your way. Tessa is my "little engine that could/can" . . . when it comes to getting well, I know she can, I know she can, I know she can!!!! Much love, Randy
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear things have improved a bit. We've been keeping Tessa in good thoughts here constantly, wish we could somehow do something more. Yes, the body is finicky but also amazingly strong/resilient. Will continue to send healing/healthy thoughts her way and energy/calm thoughts to you guys to help you all get through this. Best, Chris & Lindsey
ReplyDeleteMy best wishes for Tessa, you and your family.
